POSITION DESCRIPTION:
DANCE EDUCATOR
JOB SUMMARY
A dance educator must have the ability to teach educational dance classes based on a unique curriculum developed by Dance Exploration, LLC. The position requires work with parents and school officials to track success in student development and improvement in school. The educator must provide weekly reports and feed back to upper management on classes. Ensure a positive and safe experience for children and parents alike.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Teach children dance principles while utilizing the Dance Exploration, LLC curriculum.
• Instruct children on dance technique, history, and terminology in the styles of creative dance, ballet, jazz and hip hop.
• Guide activities that combine dance principles with the concepts of early and elementary child development.
• Provide weekly reports with feedback on curriculum and class success.
• Work with school officials and parents to track improvement in overall student success.
• Ensure the safety and health of children while they are dancing.
• Conduct surveys and provide feedback in an end of session report.
• Achieve company objectives and goals on student success and customer satisfaction.
• Provide great customer service.
• Attend all classes, marketing, and outreach events as scheduled.
• Promote classes and Dance Exploration by distributing marketing materials.
• Contact prospective venues and customers for classes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
CPR and First Aid Certified
KNOWLEDGE:
Candidate must have knowledge in Dance Pedagogy, Terminology and History
Candidate must have a sound knowledge in early and elementary childhood development.
Knowledge in Elementary education is a plus but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior dance instruction, or dance pedagogy is required.
Previous experience working with children is a must.
Having experience with marketing and sales is a plus, but not required.
Prior customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Bi-Lingual a plus!

This is a contract job (Independent Contractor Position)
Job requires in state travelling
May involve Volunteer hours
On-Call hours as needed
