Workshops and Seminars
Dance Exploration, LLC has created several workshops designed to show how dance can relate to other arts and school subjects. The goal was to show children and adults how dance can benefit the learning and developmental process and make it fun, entertaining, and memborable!

Get Loose With Dr. Seuss (Ages 3-10)
Get Loose with Dr. Seuss explores the wonderful books written by Dr Suess and how they can be related to dance. Children will participate in several activities such as ABC Dance, Sam I am Says, and Following Yertle!

Dance Art Expressions (Ages 6-12)
Dance Art Expressions explores the artwork of Vincent Van Gogh, with focus on "Starry Night". Participants will learn about the life of Van Gogh and the paintings he created. "Starry Night" will be discussed and children will then draw thier own interpretation of the painting based on the feelings, memories, and thoughts that the painting depicts. Then they will choreograph a dance inspired by their picture, depicting those emotions.

Poetic Movement (Ages 6-12)
Poetic Movement is the study of poetry and dance and how they relate to each other. The participants will study poems or song lyrics that already have a choreographed dance to go with it, such as the Hokey Pokey. They will then read famous, and not so famous poems, and choreograph their own dance. They will have the opportunity to write their own poetry as well!
